CDM provides specialist scaffolding, confined space and access solutions across the gas and water sectors, supporting planned projects, maintenance programmes and responsive works within live and highly controlled environments.
Working directly with Cadent, we deliver access solutions for a wide range of gas infrastructure projects, from maintenance and painting works on pipe bridges and Above Ground Installations (AGIs) through to major and complex projects. This includes Brompton House in Liverpool, where CDM delivered a 14m high x 42m long scaffold structure to facilitate significant gas main adaptation works.
Within the water sector, CDM carries out both responsive and project-based works across United Utilities sites, providing safe and reliable access while working around live infrastructure, operational restrictions and changing site conditions.
A key part of our utilities capability is our experience in confined space working and rescue. Our trained personnel are equipped to support works where confined space entry, specialist access and emergency rescue provision are required. This allows CDM to provide a more complete service, combining scaffold access with competent confined space support and dedicated rescue arrangements where necessary.
Our workforce understands the additional risks and controls associated with critical utility environments, including restricted access, hazardous atmospheres and live operational assets.
